    Baby Tots is an interactive program for both parent and baby, ages 0-24 months old. Babies and their caregivers will share rhymes, songs and books.

  • Youth Book Clubs

    Kinder Klub

    Book Bunch

    The Book Bunch is a book club geared for our youngest elementary friends in Kindergarten and First Grade. The kids read beginner chapter books, play games, and make a craft. This club meets once each month during the school year.


    Books 4 Boys

    The Books 4 Boys Club is for boys in 2nd-5th grade. The club meets once a month on Wednesdays during the school year. This club offers fun, educational and creative activities; plus encourages reading.

    Baby Tots
    Today Girl Book Club

    The Today Girl Book Club is for girls in 2nd-5th grade who love to read! The club is a great way to meet and make new friends. This program offers games, crafts and fun seasonal activities. This club meets once a month during the school year.

    Throughout the year the Youth Services Department of Manteno Public Library offers a variety of seasonal programs.

    1:00 p.m.—1:45 p.m.

    Age: 3—5 Tuesday 10:00 a.m.—10:45 a.m.
    11:15 a.m.—12:00 p.m.

    Age: 6—7 Wednesday 10:30 a.m.—11:15 a.m.
    1:00 p.m.—1:45 p.m.

    Age 0—2 Thursday 10:30 a.m.—11:00 a.m.

    Age: 12 & Up Thursday 1:00 p.m.—1:45 p.m.



    MPL's Summer Reading Program provides kids of all ages with a fun way to keep reading during the summer months. Research has shown that children who participate in summer reading programs perform better on reading tests the next school year. Our program is designed to reward reading efforts and remind kids that reading is fun!




ABCmouse.comA comprehensive early learning curriculum available online for use at the Manteno Public Library.  Ipads are available for parent and child to use in library.
